Born April 16, 1997 in Washington, DC, Haze Amaze, born Hasmon Abraham II, is a Christian, husband, father, professional musician, social influencer, and brand ambassador. Haze spent his childhood and early adulthood in Maryland then moved to Virginia in 2022. As a kid, Haze's dream was to be an NFL player & a policeman. Haze was born into a musical family. His father is a guitarist/singer/bassist/MD, his mother is a singer & choir director, his brother is a guitarist/artist, but Haze's biggest musical influence was his older cousin who was the drummer at church when he was young. Haze grew up in church, singing on the choir and didn't get his first break playing drums until he turned 15 which was playing a NYE service at his uncle's church. At this time, Haze was beginning his transition to high school. Which is where he made the decision that determined his future.
In 2012 Haze had to make what would be the most pivotal decision of his young life. He had to choose between playing football and playing music. Needless to say, he chose music. He was accepted into the CVPA program at Suitland High School where he studied music for 4 years. He graduated as lead musician in both jazz and concert band. Haze then applied to Bowie State University, got accepted, but instead, decided not to go, and started his career as a musician.
Haze became the drummer for a local band in 2016 and quickly became a spotlight drummer in his area. In 2018 he would get his biggest break yet, going overseas to perform with Raheem DeVaughn. He ends up becoming his drummer shortly after and in the same year becomes the drummer for Tweet (2018-current). In 2021 as soon as COVID lifted, Haze became the drummer for Leela James (2021-current). While still being Leela's main drummer, Haze was blessed with the opportunity to tour with Hip Hop Legend, Nas (2022-current). Aside from live shows, Haze puts in an endless amount of work in building his brand. His brand is all about authenticity, joy, helping, and letting God's light shine through him. Through Haze's brand, he has been afforded the opportunities to drum clinics around the world, participate in paid collaborations, teach, feature at career days, and more.
